The Evolution of the Knork®For a little over 5 years I sat on this idea of the Knork®. Finally I realized that I was never going to be satisfied unless I did something about it. At the age of 19 I had no idea where to begin. I knew that if I was going to "Reinvent" a fork, I had to make sure I covered the entire basis. I began with a normal fork that I "Borrowed" from my mother's silverware drawer. I would recommend "Asking" before you use anything that is not yours to begin with having the intentions of not ever returning it in the same condition. I then covered the entire fork in Bondo (Auto putty used to fill dents and holes in the bodies of cars). I then began to sand until I had what I called a Knork® that had very exaggerated qualities. I had to make everything a bit oversized at first, because every time I tried to sand the edges down, they would break off. So I finally made a sample that had very wide edges. I then had a mold made and a sample poured. I finally had one solid piece of plastic I could use and sand without it breaking. Below you can see the different pictures representing the various stages of the Evolution on the Knork®. ![]()
